Student Privacy and Personally Identifiable Information (PII)

Learnosity products are built for privacy. Learnosity does not store, record or transmit student personal information, demographics or geolocation information. As a signatory to the Student Privacy Pledge, we don't sell users' data and we don't use it for behaviourally targeted ads.

Learnosity’s privacy by design

Our assessment and reporting tools are deliberately designed to support fully anonymized data. We strongly recommend all customers use anonymized identifiers for their integration, and fully expect customers to maintain all student Personally Identifiable Information (PII) external to Learnosity. This pattern promotes privacy and security for users, a simple architecture for customers, and less data to synchronize between systems.

Your responsibilities

In the interests of privacy, we advise all customers against using Learnosity metadata to store PII or real names of students, nor should customers record any demographics information or geolocation data in any Learnosity Item bank, assessment or reporting data. Learnosity has no need to know those details. Our team can advise on how to keep your Learnosity data clean, simple, and anonymous.
